Cross Peninsular Cable System (CPCS™)

MetroEthernet and SDH wholesale bandwidth platforms supported by the biggest fibre optic telecommunications network system in Malaysia

FROM THAILAND TO SINGAPORE, THE MOST ROBUST TRANSBORDER TERRESTRIAL SYSTEM EVER BUILT IS HERE. INTRODUCING CPCS, THE NEW CROSS PENINSULAR CABLE SYSTEM POWERED BY TIME.

Designed as a fully meshed network over 5 diverse routes, CPCS design has only one goal in mind - high availability. Tough and resilient, TIME has built the network for the future that is ready for any eventuality.

Traversing more than 6,000km dedicated fibre optic, CPCS is designed to provide the ultimate physical path protection. With 5 dedicated fibre routes running along both coasts alongside major highways and utility corridors, we are engineered for business.

The results are stunning, with up to 99.999% availability.

Combined with the latest technologies, this is a network built with the future in mind.

    Technology
Employing the latest Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) technology, CPCS™ offers seamless route protection and the flexibility of provisioning wavelengths across specific or prferred segments. The flexibility allows TIME to co-plan capacity and design requirements directly with customers.

The self-healing and mesh nature of the network alleviates the risk of overcapacity on any given node, whilst allowing optimal use of channel spacing to be employed. The result is a future proof network that has ample capacity, and the ability for each logical route to protect one another.

With an initial design capacity of 2.8Tbps border to border, CPCS™ can be configured in both unprotected and protected offerings, allowing up to 99.999% availavility. Dual redundant service card electronics, coupled with multiple fibre hand-off on the users end, allow service providers to plan path divertisty from each border all the wat to their eventual destination.

Eventually supporting 4 landing points in Malaysia and 2 interconnection points in Singapore, there is no better network to carry service critical traffic.

CPCS™ delivers on all counts and lives true to its name by delivering seamless Indochina to Singapore connectivty via the Malaysian Peninsular.

    Access

With no other provider having access via the Tuas Second Link into Singapore, TIME is proud to offer protected services directly onto the island. The over-reliance on single leg infrastructure running across the Causeway leaves operators vulnerable to faults. As CPCS ™ offers dual interconnection points into the Island, services can be provisioned on a ring basis across the system where necessary.

By extending the service to cable landing stations on the island, carriers in Thailand which interconnect at both Bukit Kayu Hitam and Padang Besar can now experience true 1+1 resiliency to submarine cables landing into Singapore. By definition, CPCS ™ offers far higher availability than single leg cable systems serving the region.

    Customisation
Designed to provide both 10Gbps and 40Gbps wavelengths natively, the innovative nature of CPCS™ allows for multiple interfaces and speeds to be offered on a protected basis. With on-net provisioning periods of less than 24 hours, carriers will be able to urgently procure circuits in the event cable cuts occur somewhere else on their network.

Carriers also retain the flexibility of configuring their circuits on a standalone or ring basis, thus allowing for domestic drop off traffic to be groomed as part of a trans-peninsular service. This translates into direct cost savings when deploying domestic nodes in different cities that require backhaul in between.

With major carrier hotels such as AIMS, VADS, Equinix and Global Switch acting as on-net switching locations, carriers will appreciate the ability to aggregate their transit and domestic traffic via the most cost effective route. Plain and simple, CPCS™ is designed to act as an extension of your network architecture.

Commercial offerings on CPCS™ are designed to be flexible in terms of architecture, configuration and pricing. With the ultimate network comes an array of options to best suit your needs.

TIME offers both conventional and long term leases on CPCS™, allowing future growth in both capacity and route diversity. This allows operators to plan their upcoming requirements, without the cost penalties associated with switching providers midstream.

Enterprise customers looking to extend their Storage Area Network (SAN) across the border will be pleased to know that CPCS™ supports SAN natively for bandwidths between 2.5Gbps to 40Gbps. Carriers will retain the flexibility of segmenting their capacity for the use of their end customers.

With a new management team in place and the most robust network in the region, TIME is focused on providing the critical link between your end customers and the world. We are supported by modern infrastructure, and driven by a simple mission: simplifying complex problems into robust, straightforward solutions.
